An addition with garage and guest studio above was sited to create a
vehicle entry courtyard in an existing suburban ranch house. The existing garage becomes a connected artist studio. The
roof was raised over the entrance to the main house to create a second floor, invisible from the front. The new second level overlooks
the home's entry foyer and illuminates it with new skylights.
The project was a collaberation with Andy Pressman, FAIA.
